Welcome to StittHub

Welcome to StittHub, a site where innovation meets education! I’m Greg Stitt, and for over 16 years, I served as a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida.

During my time in academia, I taught and performed research in the areas of hardware design, hardware/software co-design, machine learning, verification, computer architecture, hardware security, embedded systems, design automation, high-performance computing, among others. As part of that research, I’ve created custom hardware for many companies in domains ranging from high-performance computing to embedded systems.

While I’m recognized in academia and industry for my work with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), among the students at University of Florida, I’m best known for training students for hardware design and verification jobs. One of my proudest accomplishments is the success of my students, with many holding senior and principal positions in industry. In some companies, I’m perhaps better known as the advisor of highly successful employees than for my own individual engineering accomplishments.

In January 2024, I transitioned into industry myself. This was an incredibly difficult decision because of my passion for teaching and research. To avoid abandoning these passions, I created this website where I can continue to develop educational material, discuss emerging technologies, explain ongoing research, and discuss anything technology related.

Joining me are my former PhD, MS, and BS students, all of whom share my commitment to creating fresh educational content and conducting innovative research. Our vision extends beyond mere discourse; we see this platform as a hub for collaborative efforts that bring together experts from diverse fields to pioneer new technologies.

Should you wish for us to delve into a specific topic, collaborate, or provide expertise, don’t hesitate to reach out using the contact link on the website. Having guided thousands of engineers in their academic pursuits, I’m also delighted to offer hiring suggestions for companies seeking talent in specific areas.

Welcome to our community, and I look forward to sharing this exciting venture with you.
